Neal Pitcher, local accountant & smart guy from Stribling & Pitcher on 63rd St., confirms our calculations.
You are probably already familiar with the aggressive Benetti’s Rewards Program. However, we will take time to do some consumer math to point out the great value when brewing our fresh-roasted coffee at home.
At Benetti’s, our general whole bean coffee is $11 per pound (ground upon request). According to our rewards schedule, you can trade in 100 points for a free pound of coffee. So, after nine pounds of coffee, you get a free one. This makes the average cost of Benetti’s coffee $9.90 per pound when you maximize the use of your rewards card.
So, you can get fresh coffee, roasted on-site, for close to the same price as other specialty coffee on the grocery store shelves.
Class dismissed.
